Signing Your Promissory Note
If your aid award shows Federal Stafford Loan eligibility, and you are a first-time student at The University of Findlay, you will need to complete an entrance interview, select a lender, and electronically sign a master promissory note before the loan is processed and applied to your student account. The University of Findlay Aid Office can create a loan for you and forward it to the servicer. Great Lakes will notify you when you may sign your promissory note (via email and/or letter). At that point, you may use the the email link or the Great Lakes logo below to access the loan site and complete the loan process. You will need to select any one of up to five lenders.

Then use the instructions provided to log into the site. Once there, you will need to complete an "entrance interview" as required by the federal government, select a lender, and complete the master promissory note. You may also use this link to apply for a GradPLUS loan (if you are a graduate student), a PLUS loan (for parents), or an alternative loan. Please note that you are not required to use the loan process described above. If you opt to use a different lender, you then have the responsibility to create and sign a loan with the lender and to complete an entrance interview with the financial aid office.
