Residence Halls
Fox Residence Hall for men was dedicated during homecoming in 1966 in honor of the Fox family in western Pennsylvania, especially Dr. Charles T. Fox, long-time dean and the third president of Findlay College, and Dr. H. Clifford Fox, the 10th president. The building cost $484,500 and was financed by a construction loan from the federal Housing and Home Finance Agency. Dr. Charles Trout Fox was a member of the teaching staff when the College opened in 1886. He served as acting president from 1895-1896, and he was the first dean from 1897-1929. Dr. Harry Clifford Fox, a 1920 Findlay graduate, was president from 1947-1959. Previously, he was a history professor, chairman of the social sciences department and dean of the school of liberal arts at the University of Dubuque. He also was an ordained minister for the Churches of God.Click here for a floor plan of a typical room in Fox Hall (1st and 2nd floor).
