How do I borrow technology from UF?

Information Technology Services has a program called the Loaner Laptop Pool. This consists of Apple and Dell laptops which are available for students to borrow. This service is located at the Periodicals Desk in the lower level of Shafer Library and is available to all UF and Winebrenner Theological Seminary (WTS) students.

Certain rules and regulations apply when borrowing a laptop from The University of Findlay. For more information about our Loaner Laptop Pool please contact the ITS Administrative office at ext. 6770 or ext. 4848.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Students must follow the borrowing policies of Shafer Library and Information Technology Services.

2. Only registered UF/WTS students may borrow laptops from the student loaner pool. Students must have a valid University of Findlay ID card with a Shafer Library barcode.

3. Laptops can only be picked up and returned to the Periodicals Desk in the basement of Shafer Library.

4. Laptops are inventoried at check out and check-in to verify all equipment.

5. Laptops will be loaned for maximum of three hours. After that time, the laptop must be returned to the Periodicals Desk in Shafer Library and can be checked out again if availability exists.

6. Fines are assessed if the equipment is returned late, the equipment is damaged, or any of the accessories are missing.

7. Free wireless communication is available only on campus. At this time it is not available in most dorm rooms.
