How do I troubleshoot Blackboard?

1. Verify your browser is listed below in the approved browser table:


 (While not officially supported, Mozilla Firefox and Safari for Mac OS 10, 10.2 or higher, and 10.3 or higher also work well.)

2. Verify your browser has the correct settings:
    A. Accept all cookies 
    B. Security Level set at Medium 
    C. Enable JavaScript
To work properly with your Internet-supported courses, your browser must be configured (set up) so that Java and JavaScript are enabled and your software will accept Cookies.

3. Problems with Blackboard Collaboration tools (both virtual classroom and lightweight chat):
    A. Uninstall all versions of Java prior to Version 5.0.
    B. Download and install Java
    C. Restart your computer after installation is complete.
    D. Please note that some firewalls block Blackboard Collaboration tools.
