The University of Findlay - Recommendations for Buying a Computer

In an effort to assist and support you, The University of Findlay has made special arrangements with the following computer vendors to provide customized computers which meet or exceed the minimum hardware requirements. You are not required to buy your computer from these companies, but you should consider these offerings to help determine pricing of a properly equipped and supported system.

The University of Findlay has selected two brands, Dell and Apple. These models are specially priced for UF students, faculty and staff. Several different models from each vendor are available. All of these computers are budget friendly and range from high performance models (loaded with all of the hi-tech extras) to “better-than-basic” models to meet your academic needs. All laptop models are equipped with a wireless network card.

Please be advised that The University of Findlay is under no contractual agreement with these companies. You are free to research and purchase any brand of portable computers from any vendor. In addition, since you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of your computer, we highly recommend a warranty service policy along with your purchase.
