Athletic Endowment Fund
This endowment was made possible through the Estate of Adele Horn in memory of John G. Routzon ’24. John was a former student athlete and an inductee into the UF Athletic Hall of Fame in 1971. This fund shall be used at the discretion of the Athletic Director for the advancement, support and well-being of the Athletic Department and the furtherance of its mission, subject to normal University oversight.

Established by friends and family of Mr. Beall, the William W. Beall Golf Scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is a member of the intercollegiate golf team.

The George ’36 and Elaine (Bright ’36) Blackburn Scholarship was established by family and friends in 1988 and is awarded annually to an outstanding junior or senior who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and motivational qualities on the varsity football team. Also, the recipient should have distinguished himself as a student and a leader in other campus activities.

Clauss Athletic Scholarship
Through the generosity of Wilbur Clauss, the Clauss Athletic Scholarship Endowment Fund has been established at The University of Findlay. This scholarship is awarded to a female and male student participating on a varsity sports team other than football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and women’s volleyball.

Richard Lee Couchot Football Scholarship
Richard Lee Couchot ’63 established the Richard Lee Couchot Football Scholarship to provide financial assistance to a student participating in the sport of football. Recipients may be eligible to receive the award for a period of four years, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing at The University of Findlay.

Richard “Dick” Crawfis Scholarship
Jo Ann Crawfis Baker established the Richard “Dick” Crawfis ’53 Scholarship in memory of her late husband. The scholarship is awarded to a male or female varsity athlete who has financial need.

The Nancy Erme ’53 Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman who has expressed an interest in competing for and participating in cheerleading at UF.

Philip D. Gardner Football Scholarship
The Philip D. Gardner Football Scholarship Fund was established in 1991 to recognize athletes participating in the sport of football. Mr. Gardner received a Doctor of Industrial Management degree from the University in 1990. The scholarship may be awarded to an incoming freshman and is renewable for each year of participation in the football program.

Jeffire Wrestling Scholarship
The family and friends of Thomas and Josie Jeffire have established the Jeffire Wrestling Scholarship Endowment Fund at The University of Findlay. The recipient must be a University varsity wrestler and must meet all standards for academic and athletic eligibility.

James C. and Bonnie L. Koehler Scholarship
This scholarship has been established at The University of Findlay. Recipients of this scholarship must be a graduate of Findlay City or Hancock County Schools, and be an athletically eligible player on the Varsity Football, Varsity Men’s Basketball, Varsity Women’s Basketball, Varsity Baseball or Varsity Softball Teams.

Byron E. “By” Morgan Jr. Scholarship
The family and friends of By Morgan have established the Byron E. “By” Morgan Jr. Scholarship Endowment Fund at The University of Findlay in recognition of his achievements as a head football coach and his dedication to then-Findlay College. Recipients must be full-time students participating in the University’s football program with at least 2.5 GPAs.

Garver Oxley Memorial Scholarship
Established by donations in his memory, the Garver Oxley ’41 Memorial Scholarship was established to recognize Mr. Oxley for his many years of support of The University of Findlay. A 1941 graduate of Findlay College, Mr. Oxley was an outstanding student athlete, serving as captain of the football team. The scholarship provides assistance to students who participate on the varsity football team. Preference is given to Ohio residents from Hancock and Sandusky counties.

Robert W. Peters Endowed Fund
Established through the estate of Robert W. Peters ’34, the Robert W. Peters Fund provides income that is used to purchase athletic equipment.

Ann and L. Jack Ruscilli Football Scholarship
In conjunction with the 125th Endowed Funds Drive, Ann (Colburn '65) and Jack '66 Ruscilli have established this scholarship to attract and retain a Franklin County or neighboring county football recruit to play for the UF Oilers. Ann and Jack, both alums of The University of Findlay, were interested in giving something special back. In addition, Jack is a member of the UF Board of Trustees. The recipient shall have at least a 2.5 GPA.

John and Frances Crosby Schott Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Philip Crosby, the John and Frances Crosby Schott Scholarship provides assistance to an incoming freshman male or female athlete with any academic major at the University. The recipient must meet the entrance requirements, show distinct Christian ethics and have leadership qualities as indicated by involvement in extracurricular activities in high school or preparatory school to receive this scholarship.

Dr. Charles H. Spragg Golf Scholarship
Charles H. Spragg, D.D.S., has established the Charles H. Spragg Golf Scholarship Endowment Fund in recognition of his interest in the University's golf program and the potential to recruit and retain outstanding scholars/athletes in this program by providing financial assistance to a member or members of the UF golf team.

Dick Strahm Scholarship
The friends and family of Dick “Coach” Strahm have established the Dick Strahm Scholarship to honor his years of dedicated service as both teacher and the head football coach. This scholarship shall be awarded to an education major participating in any UF Varsity sport who does not receive any athletic scholarship aid. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA or better and demonstrated need.

The University of Findlay Athletic Department Golf Program Scholarship
Established with the proceeds of the 1990 UF Golf Outing, the Golf Program Scholarship is awarded annually to a University student who is academically eligible to participate in intercollegiate sports and is a member of the University’s golf team. The recipient is selected by the coach of the golf team and the athletic director.

Varsity “F” Endowment
The Varsity “F” Endowment Fund was created through proceeds from the Varsity “F” Golf Outing (1991-present) held each summer. Two scholarships are awarded annually, one each to a female and male athlete participating in a varsity sport at The University of Findlay. Each recipient must have earned a varsity letter at Findlay and shall maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Daniel E. Whitinger Memorial Soccer Operating Scholarship
This operating scholarship was established in memory of Daniel by his family. He graduated from The University of Findlay in 1992 with a B.S. in psychology and religion. He played soccer all four years during his college career, appearing in 58 games and scoring two goals. A committed Christian, Daniel traveled abroad on several mission trips where he found soccer crossed all language and cultural barriers. This scholarship is awarded annually to a member of the men’s varsity soccer team who does not receive any other UF athletic scholarship assistance and who demonstrates a strong Christian character. The recipient may be in his freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year of study and must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
