Responsibilities & Expectations of Student Leaders
  
10.  Get paperwork done so you don’t have to look at it 
       again!  It looks good when it’s turned in on time.  

9.    Learn how to identify and tap into leadership potential 
       among organization’s membership. 
 
8.    Offer praise and recognition to those individuals inside and 
       outside your organization that provide assistance and 
       support.  

7.    Members should be accountable for their actions, (i.e. do 
       not “pass the buck!”)  Admit mistakes and learn from them 
       for the future.  

6.    Motivate membership and promote their value as a group.  

5.    Learn to say “no” and delegate.
   
4.    Utilize all resources.  In addition to written resources, this 
       means faculty advisors, university administration and other 
       student leaders.
  
3.    Maintain open lines of communication with organization 
       officers, members, faculty and organization advisors, 
       university administrators and staff.  
     
2.     Abide by all university policies and regulations as outlined 
        in the college catalog and on the UF website.
