5k Race – Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio


Our annual 5k race will be replaced with the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio race. We always look for a great charity to benefit from our race and this year, it's with pleasure to welcome any of our alumni, parents, students, or friends of the University to participate in the Susan G. Komen race.

9:00 a.m................Alumni Association Annual Breakfast

 Enjoy breakfast with alumni from all over the nation while congratulating the 2014 Distinguished Alumni, and recipients of the Old Main Award, the Gold Medallion, the Arch Award  and the Class of 1964 on their Golden Anniversary.
Cost: $10 per person; 5 and under: no cost; Heritage Club(Graduates 50 yrs. or more): no cost

   College of Education – Davis Street Building (take part in a scavenger hunt)

  •    Programs include:  Undergraduate, Post-baccalaureate licensure, Master of Arts in Education, Principal and Superintendent Licensure, Doctor of Education

College of Pharmacy - Atrium in the middle of the Davis Street Building where further information and directions will be given

  • Areas to be open:  Research Laboratory: faculty and students perform research in this area
    - Pharmacy Skills Laboratory: pharmacy students are trained in how to prepare
    and dispense prescriptions, including the compounding of products that are not
    commercially available.  - My First Patient Practice Laboratory: students
    practice patient counseling and patient assessment skills such as measuring blood
    pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol.  - SimMan Patient Skills Laboratory: a
    sophisticated patient simulator that can mimic a real patient in many ways.

College of Sciences - Davis Street addition with “tours” of the IDEA paint classrooms and a few of the labs.

  • Programs include: Animal Science; Biology; Chemistry; Computer Science; Environmental; Equestrian; Mathematics

12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m....................Pre-Homecoming Tailgate Event  

Rain or shine, join us for inflatables, pony rides,
balloon animals, face painting, games, and much more.

12:30 p.m........Seventh Annual Marching Band and Oiler Brass Reunion

Bring your instruments and wear black slacks. We’ll have music and a T-shirt that are yours
to take home with you. All band instruments are welcome! You’ll rehearse with the Oiler
Brass at 12:30 p.m. and will perform with the band during pre-game and halftime.
Lunch will be served after halftime. R.S.V.P. to Richard Napierala, director of athletic bands, at or call 419-434-5529.

1:30 p.m. Join us for some food from Outback prior to kickoff behind Donnell Stadium.

3 p.m................Football game Oilers vs. Ashland University  

Coronation of homecoming King & Queen during half-time.
