The Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends and the Annual Giving Office are joining forces in a new program for Findlay College/The University of Findlay. “Class Representative” volunteers will be supporting The Findlay Fund and encouraging their classmates to return to campus for reunions, homecoming and other campus events. Class representatives will be calling fellow members to express sincere appreciation for current support and to encourage future support by increasing participation with events and The Findlay Fund . The goal is for alumni to join their class representatives in this exciting approach to support their alma mater.
Save the date: UF Homecoming & Family Weekend, September 26-28, 2014!
Role of the Class Representative
Class Representatives are volunteers for the development office and coordinate a program to encourage their classmates to support The University of Findlay. Their role is to make sure that all classmates have been contacted and have been given the opportunity to participate in the Annual Giving Program.
Class Representatives should understand philanthropy, have the time to serve as a Findlay volunteer, be motivated and have the ability to motivate others, be well-known and respected members of the class, and have a positive track record of giving to The University of Findlay Annual Giving Program.
The Findlay Fund is vital in providing financial support in key areas such as student scholarships, stability of The University of Findlay academics, innovative technology for learning enhancement and campus beautification.
The purposes of the Class Representative Program are:
1. To improve the relationship between alumni and the college/university.
2. To increase the percentage of alumni who participate through financial support to The Findlay
3. To raise the effectiveness of The University of Findlay’s development staff by working with class
