Shafer Library Materials and Loan Periods 

• Books and government documents: 4 weeks, 1 renewal
• Media items (e.g. videos, DVDs, cassettes, etc.): 1 week, 1 renewal
• Reserve materials: loan period varies
• Noncirculating items: Reference books; journals, magazines, and other periodicals; and microforms.

Overdue fines and Replacement Costs

• All overdue items: $0.10 per day
• Lost materials: cost of book + overdue fines + $10.00 processing fee

OhioLINK Materials and Loan Periods

• Books: 3 weeks, up to 4 renewals unless a hold is on the item
• Media items: 1 week

 Overdue fines and Replacement Costs

• Overdue fines: $0.50 per day
• Books 30 days overdue: $50.00 (non-refundable billing fee)
• Lost materials: $125.00 per item

Materials Not in Shafer Library nor OhioLINK

Books and other items not available in Shafer Library nor through OhioLINK library catalog may be requested through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. The major exceptions are student textbooks which the Library does not supply. To request articles and books through this service, ask for ILL forms at the Information Desk or Circulation Desk in Shafer Library.
