Status of Requested Books

If you have requested books or other items through OhioLINK, you can check their status in your Library Account.

  1. From the Shafer Library home page CLICK ON My Library Account or, if you are in the Findlay/Winebrenner Library Catalog, CLICK ON My Account.
  2. Enter your name and barcode# and CLICK ON Submit.
  3. CLICK ON the box that says Requests.

You will see a list of items that you have requested. Look at the Status column for the following:

  • Available or Requested: Item has not yet been sent by the loaning library. You may still cancel your requested items at this time.
  • In Transit: Item is on its way to Shafer Library.
  • Ready for Pickup or OhioLINK Rev’d: Item is at the Shafer Library Circulation desk for you to pick up.

It takes about three to five business days for your books to arrive at the Shafer Library Circulation desk.

Library Barcode

The library barcode is a unique 14-digit number that you can get at the Shafer Library Circulation desk (bring your student ID). If you are a distance learner or weekend student, you may apply for a barcode online.
