Fall 2013 Orientation Service Project

On behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County and ReStore, I want to thank each of you for volunteering this past weekend.

It was a pleasure to meet you all and I sincerely hope you enjoyed your volunteer experience with us. Every item you cleaned and sold helps us to partner with families to provide decent, affordable housing. That is pretty sensational!

A big thank you to the students and faculty for volunteering at our Back Street Festival on August 17th! The students helped to facilitate the children's activities at the festival, and we received so many positive comments on their participation. We hope the students will be interested in helping with the festival in the future. How wonderful that U of F emphasizes the value in service to the community!

Your Freshmen Orientation Service Project helping at St. Michael School was much appreciated.

Your college students did a great job and represented the University of Findlay very well.

Looking forward to working with you again next year and thanks again!

Fall 2012 Mobile Food Pantry Thank You Note

Dear Friends,

Thank you for funding and hosting another successful food pantry on October 27. The students were energetic and very helpful.
I appreciated their initiative with unloading the truck and organizing the tables. I appreciated all of the extra effort in organizing the food pantry off-campus.  There was a lot of planning for getting the University vans, shopping carts, tables, lining up the students, etc.  The day went very smoothly and was well organized.  This added to the success of the day for our clients and the student volunteers.

We served 178 families representing 613 individuals.  Our clients appreciated the food.  I think they also appreciated the compassion and kindness shown to them by the students.  That is so important for all of us.
Thanks to the University of Findlay for acting as a partner in supporting Chopin Hall’s mission to feed the hungry.  We are truly blessed to have the constant support of the University of Findlay, its faculty, and students.
