​​The University of Findlay offers many graduate assistantships for well-qualified, full-time graduate students. 


Assistantships

Graduate assistants typically work 20 hours a week for the academic year. The positions carry a tuition stipend, and allow you an opportunity to advance your skills while pursuing your graduate degree. 


A full time graduate assistantship position is generally intended to be for the fall and spring semester of the specified academic year. There are three levels of annual graduate assistantship awards as indicated below:


Graduate Assistants (GA) - General work duties and athletic positions.        

  • $4,200 stipend for 20 hours per week         
  • 12 graduate credit hours of tuition remission


Teaching Assistants (TA) - Assist faculty with teaching duties.       

  • $7,200 stipend for 20 hours per week         
  • 12 graduate credit hours of tuition remission

Research Assistants (RA) - Assist faculty with research activities.         

  • $7,200 stipend for 20 hours per week         
  • 12 graduate credit hours of tuition remission

Additional Information

Not all students are qualified for all available positions based on his or her course of academic study and the required qualifications for the available positions.  Because of this, students should only complete and submit applications for graduate assistantships for which they are truly qualified. Students must submit an application for EACH position they apply for, and the position number must be included on each application or it will not be reviewed. Students will need to be a fully accepted and registered to be considered for a position.
