The University of Findlay

All Elections are held in the Spring Semester with the exception of the Freshman Class officer positions, which are held at the beginning of the Fall Semester.  

All candidates must turn in a petition with 25 signatures from their peers and  write a 150 word paragraph about themselves.  

SGA uses an online voting format for both the Executive Board and Senate elections.

The Executive Board:

*Consists of 6 officers elected by undergraduate and graduate student body  

*All candidates interested in serving on the Executive Board of SGA shall have been enrolled at The University of Findlay at least two contiguous semesters

*Student running for SGA President must be in the rising undergraduate Junior or Senior Class

*Interested candidates must have served or be serving on the Student Senate at the time of elections

The Senate

*Consists of the Class President, Representative, and Delegate from the Senior, Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman classes  

*All candidates interested in serving on the Student Government Senate shall come from each of their respective classes and be elected only by their classmates. 

The Graduate Representative is an appointed position by the University.
