Undergraduate  students are required to submit either a TOEFL or IELTS test score as part of your application to the University of Findlay. We strongly encourage our graduate students to take either the TOEFL or IELTS test to assist with appropriate placement. Please consult your admissions counselor to see what score requirements are for direct entry to your chosen program. Your score will determine if you "test out" of IELP (Intensive English Language Program) and can be directly admitted into your undergraduate or graduate program. If your score is not high enough for a direct admit, you can use this chart to help you determine at what level of IELP you will need to take. Note that each "level" of IELP is equal to one semester.

Click here for more information on the IELP Proficiency Scale.

Please note that due to new USCIS government regulations, students will no longer receive a "Conditional Admission" I-20. If you are required to take IELP, you will receive an IELP only I-20. Once you complete the IELP requirement, you will then be issued an I-20 that reflects your new program of study.
