Sport and Event Management

Interning with the Cleveland Browns in the Events Department, Ethan has a greatHOSP-SPEM-Browns-Intern-Ethan-Luginbuhl-web.jpg experience. During his time there, he dove right into responsibilities and saw what it would be like in the professional world. Ethan saw how professionals conduct multiple events to positively impact the organization. "A large corporation operates between different departments to create a lasting product," which Ethan saw creates an amazing working environment for employees.

Upon graduation, Ethan aspires to work for a Division I Collegiate Athletic Department along with assisting UF students to help them reach their goals.

Sport and Event Management

"Go to a school where they feel comfortable. When you take college visits, make sure you can picture your college life there. I could imagine my life here. Findlay was very comfortable for me. I came from a small town, and a small high school, and the welcoming atmosphere of Findlay was perfect for me, but it was still large enough to feel like college – lots of people to meet and activities to take part in."

Sport and Event Management

jon ShollenbergerBeing in Sport and Event Management lets me take what I love about business and sports and put them together to make a great career. With great professors and mentors like John Wolper and Jim Givens you feel prepared for anything the job throws at you. John and Jim have such a vast knowledge and passion for the program that you can't help but Jon Shollenberger want to come and pick their brains everyday in class.

Not only do the classes great but the opportunities to gain experience outside the classroom help even more. Getting to dip our toes into the real world of Sport and Event Management is what really sets this program apart from all

others. With the knowledge I gained from my first two years at The University of Findlay from all of my professors I was beyond prepared for my internship with The Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club. It was a great experience to have and I feel like I was able to open many doors because of the information and real world experience I learned in all my classes. The Sport and Event Management classes and all of the other business classes at Findlay made me feel very comfortable when I got out into the real world.
