SUMMARY:APO's Handprint Project
DESCRIPTION:The theatre program is putting on the show\, The Laramie Project\, November 20th through 22nd. This show is a docudrama that tells the story of Matthew Shepard\, a student at the University of Wyoming who was murdered. His death garnered national attention and led to specific legislation against hate crimes. Our event is to promote this show and share Matthew’s story with as many students as we can. We will have a banner where students can place handprints to create a rainbow. Students who participate will get a t-shirt. We will also provide information to students on the aftermath of this incident\, the positives that came from it\, and some of the history leading up to it.
