Eligibility

Incoming Freshman 

To be eligible for admission to the Honors Program, a student must meet one of the following requirements:
  1. A high school cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.80 or above or an ACT composite score of 27 or higher or equivalent SAT score of 1820;

  2. One semester of full-time enrollment or 12 hours of credit at The University of Findlay with a total cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher; or

  3. One semester of full-time enrollment and a total cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher earned from another regionally accredited institution.

Current Findlay Student

Students who have completed one semester or more you may apply to join the Honors Program if you have earned a GPA of 3.50 or better after completing at least 12 credit hours at The University of Findlay.


Transfer Student

If you are a transfer student, you may apply to join if you have completed at least 12 credit hours at an accredited college or university and have a minimum of a 3.50 GPA. Students transferring from another accredited college or university may request transfer of honors credit taken at their school.

Re-application Form

If dismissed from the Honors Program, you may reapply to the program if your cumulative GPA is 3.50 or higher. To reapply, print a copy of the Reapplication Form and complete the top section and sign it. Your advisor's signature is also required. Once completed, give the form to the Honors Program Chair.
