Theatre Points of pride

​​​Theatre students have many unique opportunities to enhance their studies at the University of Findlay.

  • Potential to work with Broadway, film and television actors and directors during their residencies on campus. Some of these individuals include Tony and Oscar winners with impressive credentials both on and off stage.
  • Theatre Remote professional workshop opportunities that allow students to study off campus in places such as London, Ontario and New York
  • 80 percent of UF theatre graduates are working in professional theatre
  • Experiential​ learning with at least four main stage productions per year
  • Prepares graduates for work in professional theatre, as well as graduate school
  • Students from all major are encouraged to participate in theatre presentations and other performing arts opportunities.
  • Alpha Psi Omega, national honorary theatre fraternity, produces several presentations each year.
  • In Ohio, our students have worked for CATCO, Columbus Children’s Theatre, Tecumseh!, Trumpet in the Land, Shadowbox live and Huron Playhouse.  Students also have access to a large alumni network with strong engagement, allowing them to develop industry connections.

Nationally, our graduates have worked for Screen Actors Guild, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Roundabout Theatre Company, New York Public Theatre, Theatreworks/USA, and Chicago's Second City. They have been seen on Broadway and Off-Broadway, in film, and in television shows such as Numb3ers, Law and Order and All My Children, among others.
