Frequently asked questions

Do I have to attend all the sessions?

No! You may choose your own level of participation. Come to all, come to one, or come to a few sessions. Each single session costs $5 a person. Each session stands alone.

Do I have to pre-register?

No, you may pay at the door.  If you are bringing a large group, it is a good idea to let us know so that there is enough seating available.

How often do the sessions run at the Senior Center?

One of the six Wednesdays is done at the Senior Center at 339 E. Melrose St.

Do I have to get the buffet lunch if I stay for lunch?

No! You may bring your own lunch or buy lunch in the snack bar in the Alumni Memorial Union.

What about parking?

When you register you will be given a parking permit for your dashboard. There is convenient reserved parking in the lot between the Alumni Memorial Union and Shafer Library. Otherwise, you may park anywhere except in handicapped spaces.

Who plans the Senior Forum?

The forum is planned by a committee consisting of interested current or past participants and presenters.  The committee meets twice a year:  in June to plan the fall forum; in January to plan the spring forum.  Planning makes use of feedback and suggestions from the evaluation forms completed by participants. If you are interested in serving on the planning committee, contact Doris Salis.
