Assists with the site and corporate-wide safety management program. Helps ensure government and company compliance, and assists with the development and implementation of job-specific plans. Coordinates inspections with internal and external representatives and assists with the safety implementation process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field/Management Support
• Attends daily management meetings to remain involved in business and project progress and safety matters, as appropriate
• Helps enforce government and company regulations to ensure compliance by conducting job site inspections and addressing issues
• Reviews documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures
• Assists with the development and implementation of job-specific safety plans. Schedules jobsite visits and safety audits
• Researches new regulations and developments in the field of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and recommends changes in the company’s program

Risk and Claims Management
• Along with Safety Manager, accompanies corporate safety, contractors and other representatives on job site inspections
• Assists Safety Manager in the review of scopes of the work to ensure all possible areas of potential loss are addressed
• Helps conduct work area inspections and assists in personal injury and property damage investigations

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position requires work in an office and manufacturing environment. Temperatures may vary greatly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements before going into job)
• Working toward Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Heath & Safety, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
• Valid driver’s license
