Off-Campus Employer Job Vacancy - Student View: Environmental, Health and Safety Intern

 

This position will be responsible for monitoring the workplace for unsafe conditions and acts, conducting training of applicable OSHA requirements, performing audits to ensure compliance with internal requirements and applicable OSHA regulations. Major responsibilities of an environmental health and safety intern include working with team members to assist in day-to-day activities of the department; assisting in coordination and preparation of reports, training manuals, and programs; and job hazard analysis; and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE). This candidate must have the ability to take initiative to drive items to completion, be able to work in a team environment and have a strong desire to learn.

Hours flexible with class schedule.

* Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills with attention to detail
* Prioritize while able to adapt to changing priorities
* Ability work independently within set guidelines
* Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
