The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration:  "Remembering the Dream"



We extend a special invitation to all of our UF campus community members to join us for a wonderful commemorative program and the Oiler Nation Unity Walk in honor of Dr. King.



This program is designed to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The Oiler Nation Unity Walk will begin from the doors of Winebrenner Theological Seminary and conclude on the steps of Old Main with prayer and reflection The walk will take place immediately following the program and is meant to symbolize our togetherness and solidarity. 


The program will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 6:30PM with the brief Oiler Nation Unity Walk to immediately follow.


The program and the Oiler Nation Unity Walk will take place in Winebrenner Theological Seminary--TLB Auditorium.

Guest Speaker: 

Mr. Barry Scott is an actor, writer, producer, director, motivational speaker and voice-over artist.  Scott is the founder and artistic director of The American Negro Playwright Theatre in Nashville.  Scott is an authority on the life and works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  He has recreated Dr. King's speeches in such venues as The Beacon Theatre in New York, the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis and the Edmund Pettis Bridge in Selma, AL.
