​​​Positions for which an Ed.D. is highly advantageous include, but are not limited to:

• School, district or program administrator

  

• Plan, direct or coordinate the academic, administrative or auxili​ary activities of public or private elementary or secondary level schools.
• Estimated annual earning potential: $80,000 - $90,000
• College administrator
• Plan, direct or coordinate the academic, administrative or auxiliary ​activities of public or private colleges and universities.
• ​Estimated annual earning potential: $90,000 - $100,000
• College professor
• Instruct college students in a variety of academic and vocational subjects. Expectations to conduct research and publish scholarly papers are strongly encouraged.
• Estimated annual earning potential: $80,000 - $90,000
  
• Social and community service manager
• Coordinate and supervise social service programs and community organizations. Direct and lead staff who provide social services to the public.
• Estimated annual earning potential: $55,000 - $65,000
• Preschool and childcare center administrator
• Plan, direct and coordinate the academic and nonacademic activities of preschool and childcare centers or programs. 
• Estimated annual earning potential: $50,000 - $55,000
