  • ​​Megan Gonyer began as part-time faculty member at the University of Findlay in the fall of 2014. She moved into a visiting faculty role the following fall. In 2016, Megan was hired to serve as a full-time instructor and the Coordinator of Field Education for the Social Work and Gerontology Program. Megan is the faculty adviser for Social Work Club and serves as an academic adviser for many social work students. Megan also serves as the Vice President and Secretary for the board of directors for Camp Fire Northwest, OH. Megan is also working on her doctorate in social work degree through the University of St. Thomas-St. Catherine's University-Minnesota with an expected graduation date of May 2021.​

    Prior to teaching, Megan worked in the mental health field doing community mental health work in Hanock County. She also served as a Field Instructor for several students over the course of her clinical experience. Megan also currently provides supervision for social workers in the field working toward obtaining the highest level of social work licensure, the LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker).

    Megan was married in May 2017 and lives in Bowling Green. She is active with the Rescue and Restore Human Trafficking Coalition in Hancock County where she serves as Secretary, and she volunteers at her church regularly in Bowling Green. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers; a member of Baccalaureate Program Directors; a member of Phi Alpha National Social Work Honors Society; and a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team for Northwest Ohio.
