ERP FAQ's

Is this different than the LMS Review?
Yes! Workday will not be replacing Canvas; however, its student module will have close ties to the LMS (Learning Management System) that we select, as it will need to seamlessly share student and course data between them. Workday has built-in integrations with all the major LMS providers, which should translate into ease of use between these two software systems.
How will this affect what I do?
Workday will affect how everyone does their job every day. Workday delivers what are considered best practice business processes which, in most cases, will define how we do things. This means the majority of our staff will be taught a new method to handle day-to-day responsibilities to make best use of the built-in integration within the system. Faculty will also learn new functionality surrounding tasks such as degree audits and student advising. Employees will be continuously trained to use the system and to keep current with changes.
Who is part of the project team?
The Workday project team is built on a best practice methodology designed to gain efficiencies in business process design and decision making, all aimed at the ultimate success and best results in our new Workday environment. Our Workday tenant will be launched in three main components: HCM (human capital management), Finance and Student. Each of these will have a specialized team to work on the implementation of each component but will also work to build synergies between components where key integration exists.
Who are our implementation partners?
Collaborative Solutions is the implementation partner for Workday Student, and we will begin working with them in Fall 2019. Collaborative Solutions will be working with the University to execute change management and communications. The implementation partner for Workday HCM and FIN was the IBM Workday Consulting team. The University of Findlay team members were strategically paired with knowledge experts at IBM in the various project areas to help guide us through the planning, architecture, build and testing phases for HCM and FIN.
