What You Can Expect

The Well is a uniquely transformative week-long summer faith experience on the University of Findlay campus during which high school students are invited to dive deeper into the faith, strengthening their Christ-centered identity while discerning God’s call on their life more clearly. Students at the Well spend time together during the week engaging with immersive worship experiences, examining the Scriptures, exploring church history and the arts, encountering a diverse array of church traditions, sharing in local service opportunities, and living in a vital community with other students from all around the country.

University of Findlay faculty, staff, and student ministry leaders come together to teach, lead, and guide participants of The Well. While this makes for an invaluable opportunity for spiritual formation and vocational discernment, The Well is also a great chance for high school students to experience campus life for a week: eating in the dining hall and spending meaningful time on campus.

Come prepared to wrestle with questions like:

  • How has my identity been shaped by Christ thus far in my life?
  • In what ways is Jesus calling me to use my gifts in service to God and neighbor?
  • What has my community looked like so far in my life?
  • How might faith change my expectations for community in the future?
  • What do I believe concerning God? Why do I believe what I believe?

Daily Activities

  • Daily devotions, working through Gospel passages individually and in groups
  • Breakout discussion groups, wrestling honestly with questions of faith and life
  • Daily themes related to issues of faith, identity, calling, and community
  • Times of prayer and reflection, engaged within new and creative ways
