Procurement and Time Tracking

5/10/2018

Hello UF Campus,

This week's UniFire email focuses on two areas: Procurement (Finance module) and Time Tracking (HCM module). What will this mean for you?

FIN (Finance) - Procurement
Workday Procurement will allow us to have more control over spending management, viewing trends in spending, and identifying areas of cost reduction and where we can grow. By using Workday for procurement processes, we can submit requisitions, connect with suppliers, access catalogs and contracts, and much more. Connecting with suppliers will become easier, as they can register through the supplier portal. Workday will allow users to see areas of out-of-policy spending and take immediate action through the dashboard.

For more information on procurement in Workday, take a look at the following data sheet: https://www.workday.com/content/dam/web/en-us/documents/datasheets/datasheet-workday-procurement.pdf.

HCM (Human Capital Management) - Time Tracking
Time Tracking in Workday will soon replace T-Sheets as our University time and attendance tracker. This system is part of the larger HCM Workday module that manages a variety of employee/human resource information. Workday provides a streamlined process of tracking time in a convenient, unified system where all employee and payroll data is managed. The time tracking system has pre-filled fields and dropdown menus that will make clocking in and requesting or reporting time off easy and more accurate.

An overview of Time Tracking is available by clicking here: https://www.workday.com/content/dam/web/en-us/documents/datasheets/datasheet-workday-time-tracking.pdf.
