​New Graduate Student Orientation

Now that you have been officially accepted to a graduate degree program at University of Findlay, here is the list of the next steps you need to take to be ready to start classes.
  1. Have all final transcripts​ and other required material sent to the University before classes start.

  2. Set up your UFNet account​.

  3. Visit the Information Desk in the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU) after you have registered for classes to get your picture taken for your ID card. You will receive a temporary ID, but your official ID card will be mailed to your address within a few weeks. Once the OilerOne card arrives you can activate it.

  4. In order to obtain a parking permit​ , you must show your ID (or temporary).

  5. Complete and submit a media release form​.

  6. Set up a payment​ plan with the Business Office and check on your financial aid. Click here​ for more information on how to pay your bill.

  7. Complete the Company Reimbursement Form​ (if relevant).

  8. Sign up for health insurance through the Business Office (if you are otherwise uninsured).

  9. Meet with your faculty advisor.

  10. Become familiar with Blackboard, the online system you will use for coursework.

  11. Get to know the student services and activities available to you as a student, regardless if you are on campus or online.
