On Aug. 20, 2017, students, faculty and staff of the University of Findlay gathered to celebrate the opening of the new Center for Student Life and College of Business. Classes began in the building's expansive student learning spaces on Monday, Aug. 21. The official grand opening celebration for donors will take place during Homecoming and Family Weekend.
Imagine a place where students from any of the colleges of the University of Findlay can come together to learn and interact on a personal level. Within the mission of the University of Findlay to equip students for meaningful lives and productive careers, our vision for the new Center for Student Life and College of Business building will enhance our community, stimulate innovation inside and outside the classroom and transform our students into graduates ready to be ethical, productive members of a global society.
What Does the New Building Do?
- Mark a turning point in the way that students experience the University of Findlay
- Offer flexible areas for networking, leadership development and campus life
- Bring living and learning closer together
- Engage students in interactive learning
- Draw students, faculty, community members and alumni together for social gatherings, engaging lectures and cultural events
"The new space will create a place where students, faculty and members of the community have the opportunity to come together as a community, as a family that supports each other. Students will have spaces to interact more formally for networking, interviews, meetings with professors, and special events."

The open space on the south side of the building offers a unique place for students to study, collaborate and have fun. The new outdoor patio and quad includes permanent seating arrangements for campus and community arts and entertainment and lush, green trees and large permanent planters that foster a welcoming and relaxing environment.
"The new facility is an asset that will raise the level of business expertise in Hancock County and in the Findlay community. It will also help the employers because we'll have access to better-qualified people."
-- Duane Jebbett, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rowmark, LL
