When referring formally to an office, place the word “office” at the beginning of the title.
Example: Office of Marketing and Communication
Colleges
The University of Findlay has six colleges, which should be referred to using the full name of the college upon its first reference. The full name of the colleges should be capitalized. Abbreviations of the college names (COS, COB) are not to be used in external marketing and communication writing.
Example: College of Pharmacy, College of Business, College of Science, College of Education, College of Health Professions, and College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
Departments/Academic Programs
Capitalize the names of formal academic programs, names of UF’s colleges, course titles and room names. Formal academic programs are considered to be those with a program chair or director. See the current undergraduate or graduate catalog for correct proper names of programs, departments and areas.
