    Dr. Sakemiller has been an occupational therapy practitioner since 1996 and an educator of occupational therapy since 2014. In 2019, she obtained her post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree from Thomas Jefferson University, including a Teaching in the Digital Age Advanced Practice Certificate. She obtained her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1996 following a BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in 1990. Her varied clinical experience includes work with both the pediatric as well as the adult population for multiple orthopedic as well as neurological diagnoses. She has supervisory as well as program development experience in hospital-based and school-based settings. She has certifications in NDT/Bobath treatment and NBCOT. She is an AOTA and OOTA member and Pi Theta Epsilon Chapter Advisor. She is a licensed practitioner in the state of Ohio.
