The University of Findlay offers two concert bands and one jazz ensemble open to all majors. Scholarships are available to students participating in any of the three bands. We also have instruments available to rent. Click the button below to view upcoming performances:
Symphonic Band
Membership is open to all University students and community members. No audition is required. All brass, woodwind and percussion players are welcome. The Symphonic Band performs in three concerts per year.
Rehearsals: 7 - 9 p.m. on Mondays (throughout the school year)
Wind Ensemble
Membership in this select, student group is by audition, and seating is limited. All brass, woodwind and percussion players are welcome to audition. The Wine Ensemble performs in three concerts per year.
Rehearsals: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays (throughout the school year)
Jazz Ensemble
The University of Findlay's Jazz Ensemble performs for a variety of concerts throughout the year. Membership is by audition with instruments limited to: trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Players need not have improvisational skills. Instruments are available for rent.
Rehearsals: 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesdays
