Marching Oiler Brass

UF's Marching Oiler Brass (M.O.B.) carries pride and tradition along with an impressive sound at a variety of events throughout the year. Although the M.O.B. is an all-brass band, all musicians are welcome! A number of woodwind players perform in the group on secondary instruments.

No audition is required to join and instruments are provided by the University for all members. Scholarships for participation are also available.

The M.O.B. performs at a variety of events on and off campus throughout the year including football games, campus events, and parades. Members also perform in a concert at the end of each season to highlight the year's music selection. Band camp is held at the University just prior to the start of classes in the fall. The band program provides housing and meals during this time.

Regular Rehearsals (Aug. - Oct.)
5 - 6:30 p.m. M/W/F

UF Majorettes & Color Guard

Alongside the Marching Oiler Brass at every home football game, the Halloween Parade, Arch Ceremony, and various community events are our majorettes and color guard. Students of any year or major can be a majorette or a color guard member.

The routines for each show are created by the majorettes during the summer leading up to the season. This requires a bit of time during the summer leading up to camp for each member to listen to assigned music and create a routine. This provides each member with an opportunity to contribute their creative ideas!

Rehearsals begin in August each year. Majorettes and color guard move onto campus two weeks prior to the start of the fall semester for camp. Housing and meals are provided. Members are responsible for purchasing their own uniform.

Incoming freshman and current students must express interest before June 1 in order to participate in the upcoming season. Majorettes must be able to complete at least a 2-spin and have previous experience. Color guard members must have prior experience.

Regular Rehearsals (Aug. - Oct.)
