Student Testimonials
This program gave me a whole new perspective on the profession of pharmacy while being immersed in Japanese culture. I was able to learn how traditional Japanese medicines and herbal teas are used to treat many different ailments. These remedies aren't covered much in the pharmacy curriculum. I really enjoyed hearing their thoughts on these and see how they are utilized. I also really liked seeing how similar yet different community and hospital pharmacies were. This was my first time traveling to another country. I feel like I have a new appreciation for the Japanese culture.

This study abroad opportunity has made me develop travel-fever and I am so thankful to have received this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

My time in Ecuador changed my whole perspective on service. It was easy to see that UF and Manna partnered together to make a lasting change within the community of Songolqui. We were able to interact with members of all ages and volunteer our time and efforts. My time serving abroad showed me being passionate and giving a voice to others can make a lasting impact on the world around us and ourselves.
