"The University of Findlay" is the official name of the University. This is to be used in official documents.
"University of Findlay" can be used in non-official documents including marketing materials, general correspondence, and presentations.
“UF”, or “Findlay” can be used in second reference.
Never “Findlay University,” "U of Findlay," “U of F,” or “FU”
Subsequent references specifically to The University of Findlay can be made by capitalizing “University,” which does not need to be accompanied by “The.” Using the word “university” in a general sense does not need to be capitalized.
