The College of Liberal Arts (COLA) at the University of Findlay continues a centuries-old tradition of cultivating informed citizens and supplying society with innovative thinkers and effective leaders. At Findlay, you have access to a variety of programs that will prepare you for a career upon graduation. Many programs pair well with others, making graduates more marketable to employers. One-on-one advising by our faculty helps our students determine the best major and minor combination that best fits their career goals. 

What's New in the College of Liberal Arts?

The University of Findlay is now offering a two-year, online Master of Arts in Professional Communication Program for current professionals and those who recently completed a bachelor's degree. Students in the program will improve communication ability through listening, oral, written and digital communication skills.

UF Student Adds Uncommon Perspective to American Sign Language Courses

Despite the fact that he can hear, American Sign Language is University of Findlay senior Elijah “EJ” Emmons’ first language, and English his second. The reason: his parents are Deaf, and so are several of his relatives. EJ has taken all of the ASL courses offered at the University and even though he was already fluent in the language, he has learned a lot and his classmates have learned from him. Read more.

Captain Lauran (Young) Glover ’11 is the United States Army Drill Team's first female commander. Glover received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at UF, and within the military has “provided unbiased council,” most notably to soldiers serving at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Glover is pursuing a doctorate in psychology at the American School of Professional Psychologists and intends to specialize in counseling for military members suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
