Borrowing Library Materials

UF Students, Faculty & Staff

Current UF students, faculty, and staff may freely borrow library materials from Shafer Library and OhioLINK. 


Shafer Library

  • Books loan period: 4 weeks, up to 4 renewals (faculty/staff loan period is full semester)
  • DVDs loan period: 1 week, 1 renewal
Replacement Costs
  • Replacement cost for lost materials: $125.00
  • Damaged books: An amount to be determined by the nature and extent of the damage, not to exceed the price of the book.

OhioLINK

  • Books & DVDs loan period: 6 weeks; up to 6 renewals unless a hold is on the item

Alumni & Community Use of Shafer Library & OhioLINK
