As a new student, you're assigned a faculty advisor within your area program of study. This advisor is available to meet with you on a regular basis during office hours or by appointment. Advisors are also available via email or phone.
Our faculty advisors are here to help guide you through your studies here at UF. Your advisor will:
- Help you choose and register for classes each term to ensure you take the classes you need and complete your degree as quickly as possible
- Assist you with program-specific questions or concerns
- Serve as a mentor and help you build a network of connections in your field
- Assist with helping you identify possible job opportunities.
