University of Findlay Bands offers four different categories of ensembles in which students can participate


Marching Band

MUSC 100, MWF 5-6:30 p.m.

The Marching Oiler Band is the Sight and Sound of University of Findlay! Our marching band is home to students of every major on-campus! Membership is open to all woodwind, brass, percussion, color guard, and majorette students.

Concert Bands

UF Wind Ensemble

MUSC 191.01, T/TH 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The Wind Ensemble is comprised of students from across all majors. The Wind Ensemble tackles challenging and exciting repertoire for students who want to take their music education to the next level. A brief audition is required to ensure placement in the ensemble. Scholarships are available. 

UF Symphonic Band

MUSC 191.51, M 7-9 p.m.

The Symphonic Band is comprised of students and community members. The band plays a mix of contemporary and traditional band literature as well as marches, patriotic music, Broadway show tunes, and other “pops” literature. Scholarships are available for students.​

Pep Band

MUSC 100, Time: TBD

The UF Pep Bands performs at Men's and Women's home basketball games in the Spring semester. Pep Band members receive a scholarship in addition to their other band scholarships. Membership is open to all UF students of every major. ​

Jazz Ensemble

MUSC 290, T 7-8:30 p.m.

Membership in the UF Jazz Ensemble is open to any UF student by placement audition regardless of major. Each band rehearses once per week and performs one to two concerts on campus each semester. Off-campus performance opportunities are also available. Students who play bass or guitar and have not been able to participate in the typical concert band setting are encouraged to audition. Scholarships are available.​
