​The University of Findlay is committed to providing a safe working and learning environment for everyone.  ​​In order to ensure the diverse community members have access to support and resources that will postiively impact their abilty to thrive on campus, the following on-campus and off-campus support services are avaialble to the campus community. ​


On-Campus Resources


The Buford Center - Home to several areas that actively promote a welcoming and supportive environment for the entire campus community.

Accommodation & Inclusion - The Office of Accommodation and Inclusion provides accommodations for students with permanent or temporary disabilities or impairments. Examples of disabilities or impairments include, but are not limited to: anxiety, attention deficit disorder, blind or visual impairments, deaf or hearing impaired, health-related impairments, learning disabilities, temporary conditions.

Equity & Title IX​ - The Office of Equity & Title IX's goal is to support a campus culture that celebrates healthy relationships and mutual respect. We commit to respond to incidents, support individuals through University processes and educate our campus community. ​All team members are highly trained and are committed to eliminating, preventing, and addressing all instances of prohibited conduct​

Oiler Success​ Center - The Oiler Success Center is a resource for students in many ways, ranging from practical (a print kiosk, a tale to study on or comfortable​​ chairs to sit) to personal (a listening​ ear, a caring face). 

LGBT Program Initiatives Committee -  Enhance efforts to advance research, advocacy and support for the University of Findlay LGBTQ+ community, as well as the Findlay-area community.

On-Campus Confidential Support

Counseling Services provides professional, confidential counseling, advocacy, guidance, and assistance in understanding options, rights, and outcomes with regard to both the University and criminal processes. ​Counseling Services can be reached by calling 419-434​​-4526. 

Cosiano Health Center​ provides medical assistance, including sexual assault response assistance, to students. Cosiano Health Center can be reached by calling 419-434-4550​.

Campus Ministries​ provides confidential consultation with the clergy. Campus Ministries can be reached by calling 419-434-5624​.​


Off-Campus Confidential Resources

Blanchard Valley Health System has two local hospitals located in the City of Findlay and the village of Bluffton. Blanchard Valley's Forensic​ Nurse Service​s​ offers sexual assault forensic exams (SAFE) through the Emergency Department 24 hours a day.​ For more information, and an educational broch​ure, click the Forensic Nurse Services link above. ​

Open Arms Domestic Violence & Rape Crisis Services 24-Hour Hotline 419-422-4766 can assist with emergency shelter, rape crisis, victim advocacy and obtaining a Civil Protection Order. ​

OC3's Prevention Education 4 Year Model​- At the University of Findlay, we believe that education about topics related to Title IX can empower our community to change the campus culture. Our staff programming board for OC3 carries out a robust schedule of programs and events that are grounded in theory, data from our bi-annual campus climate survey, and the resources available across campus.
