​​​​​​CORE+ Curriculum


​​The General Education Committee is responsible for overseeing the creation, delivery, and assessment of the University's CORE+ curriculum. CORE+ is UF's unique general education program.​ It includes outcomes for Critical thinking, Oral and written communication, Relationships to the world, and Engagement for meaningful lives and productive careers, along with experiental learning (which makes up the "+" in CORE+).

Specifically, the General Education Committee is responsible for the following:

  • Researching, commuicating and proposing implementation of nationally accepted theories and practices of general education;
  • Systematically and objectively evaluating new course applications for ​CORE+ status;​

  • Periodically reviewing existing courses that make up the CORE+ curriculum;

  • Presenting courses recommended for CORE+ status to Undergraduate Council;

  • Assessing and recommending changes to the University of Findlay’s CORE+ program in accordance with the University of Findlay’s mission statement and external accrediting requirements.​

2020-2021 Committee Goals

1. ​To continue full implementation of the full CORE+ program on campus and facilitate training of all students and faculty involved.  


2. To support the strengthening of the CORE+ program by inclusion of additional course offerings.

3. ​​​​​​To construct a new proposal for a modified CORE+ Curriculum for approval by Undergraduate Council.

January- Fall LAT evaluations due
