Understanding the Implications of International Students’ Cultural Dimensions on Acculturative Stress

The purpose of this quantitative study is to investigate the relationship between acculturative stress levels in international students’ populations and their cultural dimensions according to their country of origin. Forty-seven international students from twenty-three countries attending U.S universities shared their experiences through taking a survey that measured their acculturative stress levels.


Impact of Patient Counselling on Quality of Life in Stroke Patients at a Tertiary Care Hospital in South India

Our study found significant improvement in quality of life parameters in intervention group to that of control group mainly in the frequency of visits, medication adherence, knowledge regarding disease, knowledge regarding medications, re-occurrence of stroke and adherence to regular monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose levels at home.

This study has demonstrated that while amlodipine has better anti-hypertensive efficacy compared to Cilnidipine, increased cases of reflex tachycardia was noticed in patients who used Amlodipine than in patients who used Cilnidipine.

Computer Vision and Image Recognition Program to Mass Edit Images for E-commerce Website

A local lacrosse apparel business wants a way for customers to visualize lacrosse pockets based on thousands of possible customizable combinations. Utilizing an open source Computer Vision library, we have created a model of a lacrosse pocket with each thread being recolored based on intended color schemes from our client. We have processed over 96,000 images and stored them on an API server to be requested by the E-commerce website when users go through the lacrosse pocket color picker.

Electronic Medical Record Software Design for Occupational Therapists

Due to the high cost of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, University of Findlay occupational therapy students were performing their patient evaluations on paper. In need of an updated system, software was developed for the Findlay Media Network (FMN) to better complement their existing inventory check-in and check-out workflow. The software we developed as part of CSCI 480 Software Engineering makes adding, editing, and removing equipment records seamless for administrators while giving them easy access to manage how equipment is lent to students.

College Sports Finder Website

College Sports Finder was conceptualized and designed with the goal of centralizing a repository of sport events in Northwest Ohio. Categories that can be filtered by include Sport, Date, and Distance from User or Address. After extensive research into algorithms and APIs, a cohesive and user-friendly site was created to host the data. The website was designed to be a simple map and calendar with filtered sports to be displayed.

Effects of Zinc Chloride Supplementation During Ovarian Cortex Vitrification Prior to In Vitro Fertilization on Embryo Development in Pigs

Ovarian tissue has an increased risk of damage during vitrification due to different water permeability levels and cell types. Zinc chloride supplementation in the equilibrium and vitrification solutions improves follicular integrity and antral follicle development post-thawing. Zinc chloride supplementation increases fertilization success but does not adversely affect early embryonic development.

A Once in a Lifetime Experience: Studying Abroad In Japan
