First-year freshmen applicants are students who are completing or have completed their secondary education (high school) and have not yet attended any post-secondary institution (college or university). If you have taken AP, IB or A-level coursework and received college credit, you will still apply as a freshman as long as you have not previously enrolled in another accredited post-secondary institution (college or university).

The University of Findlay does not have an application deadline and admits students on a rolling basis. Undergraduate students can start classes twice a year at Findlay, in the Fall (August) and in the Spring (January). Undergraduate students who need to improve their English proficiency before enrolling in their major may also start the IELP program in the summer (May) for an 8-week ELS section.
To be admitted to the University of Findlay, students must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The ACT or SAT is not required. Additional application criteria are listed below.

Apply for admission through either the University's Application Portal or by submitting the Common Application. Be sure to fill out the application completely, as it will be used to determine admissibility. Once an application has been started, you will be able to save your progress and continue any time until you have all the information entered to be able to submit your application.
There is no application fee to apply to the University of Findlay. However, if you are admitted to Findlay, we do require you pay the e-ship fee in order for Findlay to mail your I-20 to you.
The University of Findlay has rolling admission, so there are not defined application deadlines. However, in order to ensure the appropriate amount of time for the University to review your application, process your I-20 and leave enough time for visa interviews and travel arrangements, we do ask that you apply as early as possible.

Transcripts: Original and official credentials showing completion of required secondary school work, or work completed to final year of study. A certified English translation and the original credential in the foreign language are required.
If you are an undergraduate student applying for a second bachelor's degree, you need to provide credentials showing completion and awarding of a bachelor's degree.
Proof of English Proficiency: Official proof of English proficiency in the form of TOEFL (61), IELTS (6.0), iTEP (3.5), Duolingo (95-100) or PTE Academic (50) score. You may also use the successful completion of Level 8 of The Language Company.

What do I need to submit in order to receive my Form I-20 and admissions package?
- Bank statement proving the capability to pay tuition, mandatory fees, and room & board for one year.
- Create an eShip Global express shipment label (you will need your referenced ID number). An I-20 will be issued within 5-7 business days upon confirmed payment for eShip label. Please note that eShip Global only allows us to send ONE I-20 per express package.

Scholarships will be awarded at the point of admittance based on your GPA and ACT/SAT Scores. ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission or scholarships but additional dollars can be awarded for submitted scores.
