Empowering Student Learners
In the spirit of the UF mission to equip students for meaningful lives and productive careers, we invite you to participate in the Excel @ Teaching 2017 Conference . The conference is a day to celebrate and support our teaching and learning communities by sharing best practices for teaching and learning across disciplines. It showcases pedagogical excellence and innovation in all delivery formats from traditional to online to clinical and beyond and at all levels from undergraduate to graduate education.
This year’s theme is empowering student learners. Proposals on any aspect of this theme are welcome. Possible topics might include:
- Innovative pedagogical and/or andragogical approaches
- Collaboration
- Principles of "small" teaching or growth mindset
- Experiential learning
- Use of library resources and/or professional staff
- Online or distance education
- Community-based learning project
- Reflective practice
- Physical and digital learning spaces
- First-or multi-year experience programs
- Development of resilience
- Undergraduate or graduate student research
- Bridging the gap between high school and college
