Happy Workday 'Thursday'!

As the summer moves forward, so does the Workday team. While we've provided Workday Student overview videos in our last several communications, this week we'd like to provide an update of what is happening behind-the-scenes. We are busily preparing for the communication, testing and training that will help ensure a smooth transition to Workday Student.

  • Our Workday Student Advisory Group is continuing to meet monthly. Meetings include updates, feedback, and 'sneak peeks' on relevant features within the WD Student product. This group is transitioning into our Change Champion Network and is the liaison between the Workday Steering Committee and their UF colleagues. Their job is to help us inform you!

  • A Student Change Champion Network is also being developed. There are many opportunities for students to get involved in the project: peer-to-peer training, developing student resources, marketing, technical assistance, etc. We are excited to work with student leaders in this area and are in the process of setting up meetings with these folks this summer.

  • Training schedules are being developed that include multiple modes of presentation: instructor-led training, job aids, and videos. We have a diverse group of UF faculty and staff who will help test the system and job aids prior to training and go-live.

  • A 'searchable' glossary of Workday terms is also being developed. We realize there is lots of new terminology floating around and we want to make sure we are all speaking the same language. We will be highlighting key terms throughout the rest of the summer with links to the glossary in the very near future.

  • We are also working on updates and additional general information that will be provided during the Informational Sessions that are held during the August Back-to-School week.

We are working hard to develop and deliver Workday materials so that we will all be informed and confident Workday users!  As always, if you have any questions, please contact us via this email address.
