The Workday Student Project

8/19/2019

To the UF Community,

The Workday Student Project's far-reaching scope will address many hot topics such as curriculum management, student finances, student records and academic advising, and will undoubtedly affect the entire University community. During the implementation, the project team will do their best to understand and document current business process successes and their challenges, to identify additional processes that are needed, and then build Workday Student from there.

As you've experienced already, Workday provides mobile capabilities, allowing faculty, staff and students to access accurate information anytime, anywhere. More transparent and efficient processes will streamline business operations.

A number of advisory groups, committees and functional areas will be or have been identified to represent specific interests and guide significant project initiatives. These advisory groups will serve as the voice of faculty, staff and students throughout the Workday Student Project, ensuring academic needs are heard and addressed. They are also a sounding board for potential changes in business processes, technology systems, and will be expected to provide valuable input with a faculty, staff or student lens.

There will be successes and challenges, strengths and weaknesses, efforts to balance different personalities, and much more during the course of the project. However, we are asking that you join us during this time of change and always keep your eye on the prize; help us by engaging, providing feedback when requested, and in celebrating milestones, large or small.

product preview of Workday Student is available on YouTube and was also played at the Campus Planning Summit on August 13. UF's Workday website has many updates and can be found at https://www.findlay.edu/ufworkday/, where you can find previews videos about Workday Student and a couple webinars.
