Welcome Housing for New International Students

The International Admissions and Services staff knows how important it is to get started on the right track from the very beginning of your arrival on campus. To help you we have set up the International Welcome Houses for all new students to reside upon arrival. The houses are within walking distance from the campus.

Our Graduate Assistants are responsible for helping residents that stay in the house. They are full-time students who work in our office and who also live in the house full-time. They assist new students with any questions they may have about the city of Findlay, the campus, orientation, etc. There is a male GA who lives in the Men’s International Welcome House and a female GA who lives in the Women’s International Welcome House.

Students have up to ten days to stay in the welcome house while deciding on whether they would like to live on or off campus during the academic year. Once a student makes his or her decision, the graduate assistants will be glad to show them the residence hall room options or assist them with their apartment search.

Is there a fee to stay in the house?
Yes. The charge is $20 per night and will be charged to your student account.

Are the meals included?
Students may eat for a charge at the Henderson Dining Hall at stipulated times even if you do not have a meal plan. The Refinery located in the Center for Student Life/MBA Building is also open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during regular school sessions. You may also use the kitchen facilities at the welcome houses. Please understand that it is your responsibility to clean up the kitchen after you are finished cooking.
