Intensive English Language Program (IELP)
Mission Statement
The mission of University of Findlay’s Intensive English Language Program (IELP) is to offer innovative programs to international students. These programs are designed to increase English proficiency, assist with acculturation to life in the United States, and facilitate academic success at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The University of Findlay's Intensive English Language Program (IELP) prides itself on building students' English skills. The program is offered in a traditional classroom or completely online.
Nationally accredited by the Commission on English Language Accreditation (in-person program only), our on-campus program is unique and services a diverse student body. Our faculty will prepare you with the necessary English skills and study strategies to be successful in your undergraduate and graduate courses. Special courses for both areas are offered each semester to prepare you for your respective area of study.
Program Options:
Traditional IELP Program
16-week long fall or spring semester session that gives you more time to advance your English proficiency, experience American culture and make connections with other students, both from the United States and the 40+ other countries represented on campus.

Cost: $5,939 (additional fees apply)
Immersion activities
On and off-housing is available. Costs vary, but on average don't exceed $1,000 for the summer
Airport pick up available
Summer IELP Program:
Accelerated 8-week long summer session.
Ideal for those needing to complete intermediate or advanced levels, and students who plan to enroll in undergraduate or graduate programs, but need to improve their language test scores.
- Advance an English proficiency level in half the time of the traditional 16-week program
- 36 hours per week
- Cost: $5,059 (additional fees apply)

The Intensive English Language Program at Findlay University is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period April 2019 through April 2029 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions.
