Excel at Teaching:The Second Annual University of Findlay Teaching SymposiumSaturday, March 12, 2016 In the spirit of the UF mission to equip students for meaningful lives and productive careers, we invite you to participate in the Second Annual Excel at Teaching UF Teaching Symposium. The symposium is a day to celebrate and support our teaching and learning communities by sharing best practices for teaching and learning across disciplines. It showcases pedagogical excellence and innovation in all delivery formats from traditional to online to clinical and beyond and at all levels from undergraduate to graduate education.
This year’s theme is educating the whole student. Proposals on any aspect of this theme are welcome. Possible topics might include:
- Student learning and academic success
- Creating communities of learners
- Course/curriculum (re)design
- Engaging and motivating students
- Innovative pedagogical and/or andragogical approaches
- Online teaching and learning
- Effective experiential learning
